Mount Zion College of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is an aviation training institute established in 2007 and located in Kadammanitta / Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. It is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India under CAR-147(Basic) for training in Category B1.1 Aeroplane Turbine aircraft maintenance. The campus spreads over a large scenic area and is dedicated to providing quality education in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering through experienced faculty, up-to-date curriculum, and a blend of theoretical and practical training. Core facilities include in-house aircraft (like a Learjet and Cessna), airframe and engine workshops, electrical and avionics labs, and a well-stocked library to support student learning. Separate hostels for boys and girls, transport services, and a student canteen are provided to support campus life. The institute aims to prepare students for careers in aviation maintenance with strong foundational knowledge and hands-on skills.
This is a DGCA-approved basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training course under CAR 147 (Basic) focused on Category B1.1 for Aeroplane Turbine. It includes both theoretical study and practical hands-on training covering the 11 required modules in aircraft maintenance as prescribed by regulatory norms. Practical sessions are conducted using in-house workshops and actual aircraft (Learjet & Cessna), along with real-world experience at an approved maintenance organisation.
